When I was 7, I decided I was going to have a horse. I didn’t tell my parents, but it was going to happen. So I gathered up the neighborhood kids to help me build a shed. We worked all day, gathering wood from the forest trying to get the shed to stay up. It didn’t. My mom came back home to a mountain of branches, and me on top of it. I proudly declared, “It’s for the horse we’re getting!” I didn’t get that horse that day. But you can’t stop me from trying.
